Carrie Schaeffer - Certified Life Coach & lover of Stories
Hi, Dear Listener—it’s Carrie. I’m a certified life coach, artist, and co-host of the Honestly, Dear Listener podcast. If you’ve ever found yourself nodding along with the show and wishing you could keep the conversation going—this is the space for you.
I specialize in helping creatives get unstuck and reconnect with themselves and their art. Whether you’re in a full-on existential funk about your purpose or just can’t seem to open the dang notebook, we’ll work together to clear out the mental noise, explore what’s underneath the resistance, and create some spaciousness around your next steps.
Here’s the truth I come back to again and again in my practice:
You are not broken. You do not need fixing. You already carry the answers inside you. My job is to help you find them. You might just need a safe space to think out loud, ask better questions, and re-discover your own voice.
Let’s make space for what wants to come through you.
things i’ve actually been trained in:

What Sessions Are Like:
My sessions are intuitive and collaborative—tailored to what you need. If a tool doesn’t work for you, we toss it. If a metaphor suddenly clicks, we chase it. In each session, I’ll listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect back what I hear with curiosity and compassion. Together, we’ll untangle what’s getting in your way, tap into what matters most to you, and build a bridge toward it.
If you’re a creative soul who’s craving clarity, encouragement, and someone to cheer you on while gently holding you accountable—I’d love to work with you.
from the mouths of sweet, creative humans
“Carrie helped me take back my power and trust my decision making. When we started working together I felt like I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life let alone what steps to take to achieve goals. Months later, I've launched my own business, and for the first time in my professional career, feel like I know what I want to do. Carrie helped me realize I had choices in a way that did not feel paralyzing. Best yet, when working with her, I felt like I was in charge. When you come up with a plan, I created a plan with her help which made me feel like, ‘OK, I might actually be able to do this thing called life.’ We all need a little help sometimes, and Carrie was exactly the help I needed.” - Ashley H.
“Carrie is one of the most curious people I have ever met. Also, she’s exactly the person you want asking you questions because she gets underneath layers you didn’t know were there but in a way that is gentle and caring—she’s the very person you want walking beside you on your creative identity journey.” - Rachel D.
A Few Things I Love
(because if you’re still reading, you probably want to know the human behind the coach):
Writing fiction—and sometimes reading it aloud in public spaces like a weirdo with a mic and a lot of feelings. Designing sewing patterns and making clothes that actually fit real bodies. Tinkering with creative process and mindset. And parenting two young boys and partnering with my husband, one of my my biggest inspirations in both art and life.
